GLENNVILLE - R. Walker Weathers,
82, died Tuesday at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah.
He was born in Tattnall County and
lived in Glennville most of his life. He was a retired farmer, a member of Philadelphia Lodge No. 73, a York Rite Mason and a member of Alee Temple. He was a member of Glennville First Baptist Church.
SURVIVORS: a daughter, Carolyn
Shoemaker of Glennville; a son, Larry
Weathers of Jacksonville, Fla.; an aunt, Ila Mae Mae Lee of Nicholls; seven grandchildren, Joy W. Durrence, Nora W. Cohen and John Shoemaker, all of Glennville, Randy and Ronnie Shoemaker, both of Bloomingdale, and Robert and Scott Weathers, both of Jacksonville; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL: 3 p.m. today at Glennville
First Baptist Church, burial in
Glennville City Cemetery with Masonic
burial rites.
