Lillian C. Adamson age 101, died at Omro Care Center on Sunday September 13, 2009. Lillian was born in Athens, WI on May 3, 1908, a daughter of the late Fred and Helen Wilke Flessing. She married Rev. Earl Adamson on July 28, 1973 in Chicago, IL. Earl preceded her in death on November 16, 2003.
She founded the Chicago Christian Academy, was the principal and taught school there for over 22 years. Lillian was an ordained minister in Wisconsin and Northern Michigan Assembly of God Churches and along with her husband Earl, pastored and lived in various cities in Wisconsin and Illinois. She spent two years doing Mission work in Brazil. Lillian spent many hours crocheting afghans for family and friends and enjoyed baking. She was a member of New Life Community Church.
Survivors include three step children, Donavon (Gloria) Adamson, Oshkosh; Crystalle (Jerry) Ebbinga, Fountain Hills, AZ; Janice (Peter) Koeshall, Lindale, TX; ten step grandchildren and fourteen step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl, two brothers, Christian and Fred Flessing and three sisters, Florence Krueger, Ruth Zimmerman and Lucinda Peterson.
Funeral services for Lillian will be held at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home- Westside on Thursday, September 17, 2009 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Arden Adamson officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 AM to the time of service. Inurnment will be at Benson Cemetery in Benson, MN. A memorial has been established.
