Violet Marie (Kase) Angstadt, 91, formerly of Sinking Spring, died Feb. 3, 2011, in Paoli Hospital.
She was the widow of Ernest Lowell Angstadt, who died June 9, 2001.

Born in Reading on Oct. 23, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Marcus and Clementine (Zieber) Kase.

Violet was a 1937 graduate of Muhlenberg High School.

She was a member of Community Evangelical Church, Lower Heidelberg Township.

Violet was employed for over 20 years as a secretary with Immanuel United Church of Christ, Reading.

She was a volunteer for 15 years with ManorCare Health Services, Spring Township.

Violet is survived by a daughter, Karen L. (Angstadt), wife of James A. Burkart of South Heidelberg Township.

Other survivors include two granddaughters, Susan L., wife of William Budde of Avon, Conn.; and Amy L., wife of Timothy Victor of West Chester.

There are also two great-grandchildren: Samantha L. Victor and Eric L. Victor.

She was predeceased by three siblings: Emmett Kase, Walter Kase and Elsie Gilbert.

Services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, with the Rev. Bruce Hill officiating. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
