She was born in Temperence, MI December 31, 1910. She was a school teacher with the Toledo Board of Education 37 years, having taught at the former Hamilton (Leverette) and retired from Crossgates School. She received a BA degree and a Master's Degree from the University of Toledo. Mrs. Russ was a member of the National Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi and had also been an honorary member of the Toledo Club for more than 30 years.
