Otto Priem was probably born in Province Posen, Germany, now Poland, to Martin and Adoliene Priem. He came to America and to Elkhart, IN with his family in 1881 at the age of nine. They lived in Plymouth, IN for a few years before returning to Elkhart
About 1897 he married Emma ___ who died in 1899 four days after giving birth to a son.
He married 2nd Sarah Wambaugh on 11 Apr 1901 at her parent's home near Elkhart. At that time he was living in Mishawaka, IN at the Dodge Pulley Works. A few years after, they moved back to Elkhart and he owned and operated a grocery store for several years before moving to a farm just west of Elkhart on Lexington Ave. Road. Sarah died in 1918 at the Elkhart Hospital.
He then married 3rd Minnie (Wilhelmina) Barth on 08 Oct 1919. By 1930 he was semi-retired and they were living in Elkhart at 1200 1/2 West Franklin St. where he died at his home.
His children:
With wife Emma: a son b. 22 May 1899 and d. 18 Jun 1899.
With wife Sarah: a son b.18 Mar 1902 and d. 21 Mar 1902; they then had children William M. Priem and Mrs. Elizabeth Hershberger.
There were no known children born in his marriage with Minnie Barth.
