She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Stephen; four sons and two daughters-in-law: Tom and Tammye Jurena, Sand Springs, OK, Kevin Jurena and his longtime companion Lisa Fuller, Endicott, Jim Jurena, Annapolis, MD, and Brian Jurena and Marion Bishop, Logan, UT; her grandchildren, Jeremy, Justin, Alan, Patrick and Eleanor; also several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Endicott, a RN graduate of Binghamton General Nursing School, a retired SUNY Binghamton nurse, retiring after 25 years of service and was a member of the State Employees Union. She was active in Greenman's Ceramic Club and the First Ward Senior Center. Arletta enjoyed many things in life including camping, snowmobiling, taking cruises, traveling to visit family and friends, gardening, pinochle, and was a longtime supporter of Special Olympics.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Church at 10 a.m. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Tuesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to Lourdes Hospice, 4102 Old Vestal Rd., Vestal, NY 13850 or The American Parkinson Disease Association, Southern Tier Chapter, 568 Owen Hill Road, Lisle, NY 13797.
