Darrell was born in Iowa. He was a foreman for the Portland Water Bureau. Darrell is survived by his sons, Darrell Jr., Lawrence "Larry" and Steven; and daughter, Debra Blaine.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Verma Burns and Linden Alcorn; wife, Gracie; and daughter, Linda Taylor.
A graveside service with military honors will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, in Willamette National Cemetery. Arrangements by Omega Funeral & Cremation Service.
