Mrs. Richard Schwebke Dies At Home In Eldorado; Burial At Rosendale
Mrs. Augusta W. Schwebke, wife of Richard Schwebke, Eldorado, Route 1, died at her home at 12:35 a.m. today.
Born July 24, 1879, in Germany, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Miller, Mrs. Schwebke came to the United States in 1883 with her family who settled near Lamartine. She was married Aug. 14, 1901, in Lamartine, continuing to live in that community after her marriage. For the last 27 years, the couple had resided on the present farm on Highway 23.
Surviving, in addition to the widow, are four daughters, Mrs. Arthur Rock, at home, Mrs. Norbert Hagemann, Woodhull, and Mrs. Charles Schramm and Mrs. Henry Streeter, city; Louis Schwebke, Rosendale; 22 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. Charles Evans, Graton, Calif., and Mrs. George Smith, Eldorado; and a brother, Carl Miller, city. Three children preceded her in death.
The body of Mrs. Schwebke will lie in state at the Candlish Chapel tonight. Funeral services will be held there at 2 p.m. Monday, the Rev. Karl Koehler officiating. Burial will be in Rosendale cemetery.

Out-of-town persons attending the services included Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hennen, Milwaukee; Mrs. Sophia Leitzke, Oconomowoc; Mrs. Ray Neugbauer, Beaver Dam; Mrs. Walter Schwebke and Audrey and Jimmie, Redfield, S. D., and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Schwebke, Stevens Point.
