Funeral of John Anker Held at Gagetown Friday Morning.

The funeral services of John Anker, a resident of Elmwood Township, will be held at the St. Agatha's Church at Gagetown this (Friday) morning and the body will be brought to Elkland Cemetery for burial.

John Anker was born in Germany, April 24, 1832, where he lived until 1854 when he went to Canada. Eight years later he moved to Saginaw, Mich., and in 1876, moved to Elmwood Township, taking up a homestead, five miles west and one mile north of Cass City, and here he lived until his death which occurred Tuesday morning.

Deceased is survived by his wife and three children, John Anker of Duluth, Minn., Henry Anker of Elmwood and Mrs. Charles Livingston of Owendale. He was a follower of the Catholic faith and a member of the St. Agatha's Church at Gagetown.
