Emil J. Warchol,66, passed away on February 7, 2011, in Crouse Irving Hospital, Syracuse, with his close friends and family, Carol and Bob Leeder and Rosemary and Taryn Lee DiTomasso at his bedside.
Emil was born in New York Mills on January 2, 1945, a son of the late John M.and Emily Wentka Warchol. He was a graduate of New York Mills High School and received his B.A. from Syracuse University, J.D. from S.U.N.Y. at Buffalo, and L.L.M. in trial advocacy at the University of California at Burkley in 1992. He was an Associate Partner in the Law Firm of Pawlinga and Warchol, Private Practice, Whitesboro. He was a former Village Justice in N.Y. Mills and a Master Photographer and Writer for the Smithsonian Institute, N.Y. Times and the Associated Press. He enjoyed playing music with his friends, Bill Ross and Rod Supiro, and others over the years.
Survivors include his friend Rosemary G. DiTomasso, and her daughter, Taryn Lee DiTomasso, and his three grandsons, Kevin Jr, Grayson, and Damien.
In Keeping with Emil's wishes, there will be no calling hours. Burial will take place at St. Stanislaus and St.Cashmir Cemetery, Whitestown, in the spring.
