In 1924 married Charles Buck
Indiana Evening Gazette Jan. 11, 1929:
The entire community of Marchand and vicinity was shocked when it was learned that Mona May Buck (nee Knox) had passed away last week.
Our hearts are torn and bleeding because of the sudden passing of one we loved.
Truly a wonderful life has closed its earthly pilgrimage.
A loving wife and daughter, a sincere and affectionate friend and companion has left us.
Though her bod rests in the Marchand cemetery yet her beautifuel Christian spirit will ever be a sacred memory to us.
Her words of kindness, her deeds of love and sympathy shall never be forgotten.
The large audience in attendance at the funeral services was an evidence of the high esteem in which she was held throughout this community.
Her entire life was spent in the community, having been born in Marchand May 4, 1904.
At the early age of 17 years, she was atttacked by the dreaded disease "sugar diabetes" this, together with "inflenza" caused her untimely death.
The departed had been a patient sufferer all these years but seemingly forgetting her own infirmities, oft times through the joy of serving others.
In the year 1924 she was united in marriage to Charles Buck, who together with her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Knox, remain to mourn the loss of a loving wife and daughter.
