Funeral services for the late Mrs. Ernest Wolters, who passed away at her home at 225 W. Main street on Friday, June 30, were held Monday afternoon from St. Peter's Lutheran church, Rev. Kansier officiating.
Dorothea Katherine Marie Darger was born at Barum, Hanover, Germany, May 28, 1854. She came to this country with her parents in 1862 and for a time resided with them in this city, later moving to a farm, four miles south of town. June 15, 1873, she was united in marriage to Ernest Wolters at this city. In March, 1909, the deceased came to this city to reside, where she has since made her home.
Surviving are two daughters and six sons, as follows: Mrs. Emma Garske, Mrs. Irene Koenecke, Otto, Emil, Herbert, and Erick of this city, and W. E. and Ernest Wolters of Hillsboro.
Deceased was a extremely kindhearted lady, a good neighbor and a devoted mother, whose first thought was for the joy and comfort of those about her. The sorrowing family has the sincere sympathy of the entire community in their great bereavement.
