Danny James Howard, Sr. June 21, 1925- November 8, 2004 PHENIX CITY, AL Mr. Danny James Howard, Sr., 79, of Phenix City, died Monday, Nov. 8, at his home. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. EDT, Thursday, at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City, with the Rev. Wayne Williams officiating. Interment will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Mr. Howard was born June 21, 1925 in Mobile, Ala., son of the late Harry James Howard and Evelyn Howard. He was retired from AFLAC and was a United States Army Veteran. Mr. Howard was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Edna Louise Driver Howard of Phenix City. Other survivors include a daughter, Carol Howard Ledford and husband James O. Ledford of Atlanta; a son, Danny James Howard, Jr., and wife Sheria W. Howard of Fortson, Ga., five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Danny died of Lymphoma Lung Cancer.
