Agnes was born June 27, 1914, in Delphos, Kansas, to Jesse and Edith Patrott Olds.
She attended Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas.
For 30 years, she lived in Hendersonville, N.C., and worked for the Selective Service. Upon retirement in 1976, she moved to Anchorage to live with her daughter and grandchildren.
From 1988 until 2003, she lived with her family in Eugene. She moved to Salem in June 2003.
She enjoyed gardening - especially her roses - reading and caring for her family and pets. She belonged to the Methodist Church and was devoted to her country.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Hughes of Salem; a sister, Winifred Gile of Richmond, Va.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Howell-Edwards-Doerksen Chapel of the Gardens in Salem was in charge of arrangements.
