In June of 1909 he survived the great fire in The Breakers on Spring Lake NJ, playing there for the summer. During the summer of 1910 he played in Hager's band at Cayuga Lake.
Born to Garry M Hutchinson and Julia C Nichols, he was the youngest of 3 children. His brother Llyod Nichols Hutchinson married the sister (J Blanche Luce) of my maternal great grandmother (Emma Louise Luce).
In March of 1912 he married Harriett J Parcells but did not have any children. He entered Sunnycrest Sanotorium that year, stayed there for about 4 years, and died there.
Harriett went on to marry Colin Brown and died in 1966, Raleigh No Carolina.
