Lt. Colonel Louis McKee, USAF Retired February 1934 - March 2007 Louis died March 7th at home with his family. He was 73. He grew up in South Point, Ohio, and was a graduate of Ohio University. He spent 28 years as an Air Force pilot, flying the F-86, F-102, and the F-105, in which he flew 105 combat missions in Vietnam. After retiring from the Air Force in 1985, Lou moved to Tucson, where he first worked as a real estate agent for Long Realty before finding his niche as a real estate appraiser with Southwest Appraisal. He was also an avid golfer. Lou was preceded in death by his parents, Merrill and Grace McKee; brother, Meredith ("Kootch") McKee, and sisters, Susie McKee and Marshalline Milem, all of South Point. He is survived by his wife, Sandy; daughters, Susan McKee, Lynn Hodges and Kerry (Jay) Davis; grandson, Aaron Hodges; great-granddaughter, Janice Hodges, all of Tucson; brother-in-law, David Milem of South Point; sisters-in-law, Jan (Jim) Anderson of Helena, MT and Gail Olson (Larry Vogl) of Lewistown, MT, as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. The family wishes to thank Dr. Taetle and his staff, as well as the TMC Hospice nurses for their compassionate care. Memorial services will be held 200 p.m. Tuesday, March 13th at Tanque Verde Lutheran Church with inurnment to follow in the TVLC Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to TMC Hospice or the American Cancer Society.U.S. Air Force.
