Ashley Lynn Weir, 17, of Omaha, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at 2:48 p.m. at the Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado, IL.
She was born May 16, 1993 in Washington, D.C., the daughter of Thomas Eugene and Leona Beth (Silvers) Weir.
Ashley was a Senior at NCOE High School in Norris City where she was the Spanish Club. She was a member of the Crossroads Bible Church and was active in the Teen Youth Group.
Surviving are her parents Tom and Leona Weir of Omaha; maternal grandmother Marie Silvers of Tracy, CA; paternal grandparents Betty and Kenny Goforth of New Haven and Harry Weir of Crossville; aunts Lisa Weir of Carmi, and Amy and Joseph Gleason of Omaha; uncles Jon Weir of Omaha, Jeff and Marla Weir of Evansville, IN, Matt, Duke and Scotty Silvers all of Taylor, MI; cousins Catie, Kimberly, Andrea, Julie, Jeremy, Andrew, and Kelsey Gleason, Jeffery and Mariah Weir, Matty, Michelle, Krystal, Scotty and Samantha Silvers, Godparents Roger Hartley and LaVerne Stewart.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Gerald Silvers.
Funeral Services for Ashley was at Crossroads Bible Church in Norris City, IL with the Pastor Chad Everett and the Rev. David Callahan officiating.
Burial will be in the Palestine #2 Cemetery in Omaha, IL.
