Arthur W. Bradbury Jr., 82, died Saturday, March 12, 2005, at St. Francis Hospital. He was a resident of Indianapolis.

He was born Jan. 15, 1923, in Shelburn. His parents were Ruth (Moon) and Arthur W. Bradbury Sr. He married Georgia (Noe) Bradbury on Sept. 17, 1947. She survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Vicki Leeper of Indianapolis; two sons, Stephen and William Bradbury, both of Greenwood; two sisters, Janet Hoffman of Indianapolis and Phyllis Ring of Hartford City; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Bradbury; and a sister, Catherine Richie.

He was employed by Allison Division of General Motors as an engineer for 40 years, retiring in 1982.

He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.

A service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home, 1605 S. State Road 135. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
