Eleanor M. Boylan

Eleanor M. "Susie" Boylan, 91, of Eau Claire died on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Luther Hospital. She was born on September 20, 1919 in Hayward, Wisconsin, a daughter of John and Lena (Weier) Boylan. She attended Boylan School and graduated from Hayward High School. After high school she moved to Eau Claire and worked at National Presto Industries, and Goodlove's and Kerm's grocery stores.

Susie was a lifelong member of the Eau Claire Catholic Women's Club and was active at St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lena; 3 brothers, Vincent, Bernard and Edward Boylan and 2 sisters, Verna (Lyth) Hartz and Bertha Boylan.

She is survived by her sister, Frances Boylan; niece, Judy (Glenn) St. Arnault; nephew, Robert (Connie) Hartz; great-nieces, Cindy (Chip) Eckes and Alicia and Carrie Hartz; great-nephews, Greg (Michelle) St. Arnault and James Hartz; great-great-nieces, Ellie Eckes and Retta St. Arnault and great-great-nephews, Mitch St. Arnault and Evan Eckes.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 322 Fulton St. with Father William Dhein officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Private family burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Stone Lake, WI at a later date.

Memorials are preferred to Sacred Heart of Jesus-St. Patrick's Parish.
