Article from unknown Millersburg publication in Dec. of 1902: "H.A. Kearns died last Monday night about 8 o'clock. He had been a resident of this place about 18 months and had made many friends by his gentlemanly bearing and his splendid Christian character. He was superintendent of the Methodist Sunday School, and though retiring in his nature, whatever work he found to do, he did it well. The funeral was held at the Methodist Church Wednesday morning, interment at the local cemetery. He was a Mason and a Knights of Pythias, the former conducting the services at the grave. He is survived by a wife and six children." Harvey's wife was Ida Mae Bailey. She never remarried. She moved to Winfield, Kansas in 1907 along with her six children, Louise, Maymie, Raymond, Anna, Hobart and Garnett.
