Edgar had a habit of changing his birth date depending on what he wanted. According to his parents in in the 1880 census he was born July 16, 1879. Almost every record has a different birth date. I would think his parents were correct.

In April of 1910 , Hazel, son's Kenneth and Leroy W. Anderson were living with Hazel's remarried mother Ada C. " Addie" Lord Mendehall and her husband Watson J. Mendenhall. They had been married one year . Hazel is listed as a widow which means her and Edgar were seperated or divorced. Leroy was 1 year and eight months old. Edgar and Hazel remarried December 1910.
Notes:
Ada C. Lord was the sister to Edgar's first wife Lena D. Lord, who he married 24 Sept 1905 , she died 16 Nov 1905 . Edgar went on to marry his dead wife Lena's niece, who was Ada C. Lord Layton's daughter Hazel Layton Layton four months later. Ada C Lord Layton married to Watson J. Mendenhall before 1910 and Hazel and her two young sons had left Edgar and were living with her mother and step father. See 1910 census. Sorry if confusing.
