William and Mary Chandler McCamey owned a considerable estate in real and personal property. They lived on Little River at the McCamy Ford as it was called then. Later on it was called Brabson Ford on the Sevierville Pike. William McCamey built a house before 1811. They kept an Inn for travelers while this route was used extensively by traders from East Tennessee in driving livestock to Atlanta, Georgia.
