Funeral services for William F. Armstrong (1872-1958), 86, who died early Sunday at the home of his son, Lester Armstrong, Route 1, Palatka, after a long illness, will be held Tuesday, at 3 p.m. at Masters Memorial Chapel.
Rev. J. L. Hersey, pastor of the Johnson Baptist Church, will officiate and interment will be in Oak Hill East Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Arnold Mathe, Bud McGowan, Jimmie Deese, Clifford Weaver, C. L. Chappell, Jr. and B. L. Waters.
The deceased was a retired lumberman and a native of Bonifay, coming to Palatka 29 years ago from Green Cove Springs. He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Bonifay.
Survivors, in addition to his son include his widow, Mrs. Mattie G. Armstrong and a daughter, Mrs. E. W. Smith, both of Palatka and 11 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. (Palatka Daily News Obituary dtd Monday, 24 Fb 1958.)
