George is known for his contagious laughter and indomitable spirit. He is a beloved husband and brother, devoted father, famous grandpa, awesome friend, fearless defender, consummate comedian and the No. 1 Fan of girl's softball, where his granddaughters and their friends rule the diamond.

A celebration of George Weir's life will take place at 11 a.m. May 17, 2008, at the historical Riverside Cemetery Chapel, 5201 Brighton Blvd., Denver, with good memories, good music, good fellowship and good eats with a potluck picnic for family and friends. Dress is casual.

The family would like to acknowledge the loving care of Good Samaritan Hospital in Longmont; Hospice of Larimer County; the kindness of Bohlender Funeral Home of Fort Collins; Pastor Joshua Griffin and the men's fellowship of Wellington's Filling Station; the music of Pastor Tom Ewing; and the teaching of Pastor John Stocker of Resurrection Fellowship of Loveland. "All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand ... lead me in the way everlasting" Psalms 139
