David graduated from Baltimore City College High School in 1964. He served in the Coast Guard from 1964 to 1970.
On Jun 1, 1974, he married Carolyn Rosenbauer at St. John United Church of Christ in New Holstein.
David had worked at several area restaurants, including the former K & R Lounge in New Holstein and a restaurant in Sheboygan Falls, and later on he worked as a welder until his retirement.
He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in New Holstein; the Kiel Fish & Game Sportsman Club; and the NRA. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunting all different kinds of game, fishing and trapshooting and spending time at his cabin up North.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn of New Holstein; his two sons, Patrick (Robin) Morris of Milwaukee and Shaun (Olga) Morris of Columbia, MO; six grandchildren, Sandy, Patrick, Camarie, Chasity, Alexander and Katelyn; a great-grandson, Jayden; his brother, Robert E. Jr. (Martha) Morris of Maryland; his sister, Cynthia (Phillip) Mullikin of Maryland; four step-brothers; his sister-in-law, Linda (Tom) Hau of Kiel; and nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his father and step-mother; mother and step-father; a grandson; father-in-law and mother-in-law; a stepbrother; a niece; and a nephew.
