---Orpha F. Collins, age 95, of LaPlata, Missouri, passed away on Friday (November 5, 1999) at the LaPlata Nursing Home.
---Born on June 8, 1904, in Atlanta, Missouri, she was the daughter of Leroy and Anna (DeHeer) Redmon. On October 15, 1924, in Novelty, Missouri, she married Delmar E. Collins, who preceded her in death on July 27, 1987.
---Also preceding her in death were her parents; one son, Robert Lee Collins; four brothers, Thomas, Paul, David and James Redmon; and one sister, Blanche Perry.
---Survivors include three brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold and Frances Redmon of Brookfield, Missouri, R.L. and Marjorie Redmon of Kirksville, Missouri, and Sharel and Charlotte Redmon of La Brange, Missouri; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Oliveaun and Lee Herndon of Springfield, Missouri, Genieve McFee of Macon, Missouri, and Peggy Ammerman of LaPlata, Missouri; two grandchildren, Patsy Pippin and Harold Collins; six great-grandchildren, Angela Giddings, Becky Yardley, Christy Pippin, Melanie Malotte, Clinton Collins and Donnie Collins; seven great-great-grandchildren, Aaron Giddings, Andrew Giddings, Lorgan Yardley, Kennedy Collins, and Zachary, Selena and Lilian Malotte.
---She was a member of the Bear Creek Presbyterian Church.
---Graveside services and burial were held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday (November 7, 1999), at the LaPlata Cemetery, LaPlata, Missouri, with the Reverend Sheila Swafford officiating. Pallbearers were Leland Collins, Jerry Campbell, Gary Redmon, Paul Perry, Gayle Perry, Chris Redmon and Allen Redmon.
