Bobbie Gist Angel, 70, of Florence, Ala., passed away Friday, Oct. 16, 2009, at her residence.
She was a lifelong resident of Lauderdale County. She was a very active member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. She served on various committees, such as treasurer and vice treasurer.
She worked for H&R Block for 20 years as office manager and tax preparer.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009, at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in Greenview Memorial Chapel at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Tom Moye and the Rev. Mickey Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Angel was preceded in death by her son, Roger Angel, and her parents, Sam and Arlie Gist.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Roy Angel; son, Eric Angel (Lisa), of Florence; sisters, Jean Wright (Aaron), of Florence, Pat McAnally (David), of Decatur; brothers, Don Gist (Marilyn), of Muscle Shoals, Allen Gist (Rhonda), David Gist (Lynn) and Terry Gist (Becky), all of Florence; grandchildren, Leah Smith (Brent), Elyse Angel, Tyler Angel and Carson Angel, all of Florence, and Sondra Connolly, wife of the late Roger Angel.
Pallbearers will be Mark Angel, William Angel, Gary Creasy, Jordan Gist, Nick Gist and Steve Wright.
