Jay J. Duffeck, 44, Green Bay, passed away Feb. 14, 2011, peacefully in his sleep. Born Nov. 14, 1966, in Two Rivers, he is the son of Jerome (Donna) Duffeck and Mary Van Laarhoven. Jay graduated from East High School in 1985. He married the former Sheree Holmes on Aug. 6, 1993, at the Bridal Chapel in Green Bay and she preceded him in death on July 30, 2009. Jay was employed at Ominova Solutions. He was an avid outdoorsman. Jay enjoyed his Harley, Blue Mountains, and enjoyed casinos. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family at the shack in the woods. Jay had a unique sense of humor.




He is survived by his parents, Jerome (Donna) Duffeck and Mary Van Laarhoven; four children, Chad (Misti) Wauters, Tamara Duffeck and her partner, Buddy, all of Green Bay; Matthew Duffeck and his partner, Dana, Neenah; and Renee Duffeck, Green Bay; five grandchildren, Dakota, Jimmy, Landon, Lilliana and Allison; nine brothers and sisters, Jerald Schulz Jr., Dave (Katie) Schulz, Christine (Pete) Hauterbrook, Jeff (Sheila) Duffeck, Paula Bergsbaken and partner Dave Katzenmeyer, Mary Beth (Allen) Kindt, Jena Marie (Randy) Oestreich, and Melissa (Rick) Oestreich; grandmother, Myrtle Van Laarhoven; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and other relatives and friends.

Jay was preceded in death by his wife, Sheree, and daughter, Brandi Lei.

Visitation at MALCORE (West) Funeral Home, 1530 West Mason St. Thursday from 4 until 8 p.m. Parish Wake service 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Visitation will continue Friday at the funeral home from 8 a.m. until the time the church procession leaves for the church. Funeral Mass Friday 10:30 a.m. at Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 401 Gray St., with the Rev. Donald Everts officiating. Burial at Nicolet Memorial Gardens.
