NOTE: The correct spelling of his first wife's first name has been researched. Her name is spelled differently on documents. Sorepta is the spelling on her tombstone. Her name is spelled Sarepti in the death records of Stark Co., OH. Her surname is also spelled differently on records. It is certain the correct spelling of her maiden name is Piper; this spelling is found on all census records for her parents, her Stark Co.,OH marriage record, and on the death records of her children who died after 1907 when death certificates were issued in OH.
