COOKEVILLE – Funeral services for Harry Y. Betty, 82, will be conducted at Wright United Methodist Church on Saturday, Nov. 17, at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Leroy Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Buck Cemetery.
Mr. Betty, a former resident of Cookeville, died November 11 at a hospital in Detroit, MI, following an extended illness.
A native of Cookeville, he was the son of the late Sam and Phoebe Betty. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Harris and Mrs. Virginia Watson, both of Detroit; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Lena Bell Click, also of Detroit; a sister, Mrs. Pearl B. Johnson of Lenora City, TN; seven great grandchildren and three greatgreatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vallie Cullom Betty.
