Nov. 29, 1919 July 26, 1995. Van Wert King, a technician for 10 years with Bank of America, died Wednesday in Concord. He was 75. The native of Colorado, Texas, lived in Concord for 39 years. He worked at Shell Development in Emeryville for 30 years. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Concord 2nd Ward. He enjoyed reading Louis L'Amour novels and was a 49er fan.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Audrey King of Concord; daughter, Dale Knight of Concord; son, Bryan King of Laguna Beach; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services: 11 a.m. Monday, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Denkinger Chapel, Concord. Visitation, 10 a.m. Monday at the Denkinger Chapel. Burial, Memory Gardens Cemetery, Concord. Arrangements by Oak Park Hills Chapel, Walnut Creek.
