Thomas Patterson Asbury was born March 17, 1886 at Kearney, Mo. and passed away March 12, 1932 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Dave Keith, Chillicothe, Mo. He was married to Ethel Lilliam(sic) Roach, Nov. 11, 1906. To this union was born three daughters and one son, the son having died in infancy.

He joined the Baptist church at Meadville, Mo., nine years ago. He has worked for the Burlington railroad since he was 16 years old. He was foreman for about 25 years and worked at Meadville and Kearney all these years.

He leaves to mourn his going three daughters, Mrs. Dave Keith, Mrs. Roy Walden of Chillicothe, Mo., and Mrs. Troy Burch of Kearney, Mo., and four grandchildren, one brother, Henry Asbury of Kearney, Mo., two sisters, Mrs. Fannie Schoofield, and Torrey Carey, both of Kearney and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral was held at Kearney Monday at 2 p.m., conducted by Rev. J. W. Trower, a former pastor, burial in the Kearney cemetery, beside his wife. A large crowd of relatives and friends attended the funeral.
