At the time of his death he was employed by Morgan Creek Industries, which made movies in Hollywood, and he had just been promoted to executive production assistant.
Kam was the son of Dr. John Ligon Coyner, of Wichita, Kansas, and Sandra Boyd Showell, of Vero Beach, Florida, and Daniels. He has two brothers, John L. Coyner, Jr., of Huntington, and Boyd Franklin Coyner, of Amsterdam, Holland.
Burial was at Clover Lick.
