EX-CISCO RESIDENT DIES AT STAMFORD
STAMFORD, OCTOBER 5, (RNS) ~~ Mrs. Ethel Ora Cone, 56, widow of the late Arthur Cone of Cisco, died at 12:40 a.m. Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Earl Cotten in Stamford. She had lived with Mrs. Cotten since last July.
Funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Pentecostal Church in Cisco. Burial will be in the Cisco Cemetery near the grave of her husband who died in 1944. Kinney and Corley Funeral Home took the body to Cisco Wednesday afternoon. Thomas Funeral Home is handling arrangements in Cisco.
Mrs. Cone was born Ethel Ora Tipton in Johnson County. The family lived at Cisco many years.
A son, Robert Cone, stationed on Guam with the U.S. Navy was to fly from Guam to the States, but is not expected to arrive here in time for the funeral. He came home by plane last June shortly before his mother was stricken ill and spent some time with her.
Other survivors beside the son are four daughters, Margaret Cone of Duncan Iklahoma, Mrs. Earl Cotten of Stamford, and Mrs. Derward Morris and Mrs. L.J. Nelms of Cisco, her mother, Mrs. Margaret Lee Perdue of Ranger; and six grandchildren.
