Carolyn Anderson Dies in Hospital

Funeral services for Carolyn Louisa Anderson of La Grande will be held Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the Episcopal church under the direction of the Rev. Clarence A. Kopp. Burial will be in the family plot in the Masonic cemetery.

Mrs. Anderson will be in state in the Snodgrass Funeral home Thursday afternoon, as the casket will not be open at the church.

Mrs. Anderson died today, April 29, 1942, in a local hospital at the age of 66. She was the daughter of the late pioneer family, Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Rynearson. She was a member of the Episcopal church and the auxiliary of the Spanish American War and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

She is survived by her husband, Hubert H. Anderson; a step-daughter, Mrs. Wavel Baher of Daly City, Calif; and two sisters, Mrs. Edna Gray and Kate Hanley, both of La Grande.

Carrie Rynearson was the middle of the three daughters of Abraham Webster Rynearson & Mollie M. (Sharp) Rynearson. The Rynearson family lived in Island City in Union County, Oregon.
