Frank Neumann Sheboygan Press March 16, 1974

Frank Neumann, 89, a resident of New Holstein for 55 years, he was born at Bergreichenstein, Austria on Sept. 17, 1886, a son of the late John and Sophie Niebauer Neumann. He came to America at the age of 2 and attended St. Michael School at Hewitt, Wis. On Oct. 7, 1919 he married Rose Faust at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Kiel. She died Sept, 6, 1963. He was a painter at the Lauson Engine Division of Tecumseh Products Co., New Holstein, until his retirement in 1954.

He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, New Holstein, its Holy Name Society, and the New Holstein American Legion Post. Mr. Neumann served in the Army during World War II, serving in France. He enlisted in 1916 and was discharged in 1920.

Survivors include two sons, Richard of Sheboygan and Raymond of Glenbeulah; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Winifred) Mertens of New Holstein, with whom he resided since 1963; 11 grandchildren; a brother, Anton of Hewitt, and a sister, Mrs. Barbara Leinweber of Milwaukee. A son preceded him in death.
