Services for Mervin E. Vidrine will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, Alexandria. Burial will be in Alexandria Memorial Gardens under direction of John Kramer & Son.
Vidrine, 73, of Alexandria died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 1998, in Rapides Regional Medical Center. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and Korea. He retired from the Louisiana Department of Labor with 36 years service and also served on the 1975 Governors Manpower Service Council.
Survivors include his wife, Audrey A. Vidrine of Alexandria; one daughter, Anita Marie Corbello of Melbourne, Australia; two sons, Ronald E. Vidrine and Robert M. Vidrine, both of Alexandria; seven grandchildren. A Christian wake service will begin at 7 p.m. today in the funeral home.
