Glen Crago, the eldest of two sons of Leo & Edith Sibbersen Crago, of Lake Twp., Wood Co., OH, served as an ordained minister in the Church of the Brethren (pastorates in Lima, OH, Marion, IN, Pasadena, CA, Denver, CO, and Toledo, OH) for much of his life. He also served briefly as interim pastor (1983-1984) at Beth-El Mennonite Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

In the late 1950's he changed career focus, moving to Lancaster County, PA, where Glen served as Superintendant of the Children's Aid Society group home in Neffsville. Later, after doing social work with troubled youth for several years in California, he and his wife, Florence, became Associate Professors of Sociology at the University of LaVerne (CA) and earned doctorates in Education at Claremont (CA) Graduate School.

After retirement, Glen and Florence became deeply involved with a variety of volunteer work projects. The most notable of these projects involved serving as full-time volunteer managers of the International Gift Shop at the Heifer International Ranch, in Perryville, Arkansas, for four years prior to Glen's death in 2000. Florence stayed on for almost four more years.

Glen is survived by his wife: Florence, of McPherson, KS, three children: Tom Crago (Janet Knackstedt) of Colorado Springs, CO, Maggie Crago, of Portland, OR, and Jim Crago (Melba Gregory) of Jefferson City, MO, seven grandchildren: George, Will, Leo, Stephen, Kristi, Michelle, and Jackie, and two great-grandchildren: Dominick and Ashley.

NOTE: As of December, 2012, Glen has eight more great-grandchildren: Juniper, Payton, Maya, Isaiah, Caleb, Lydia, Brooklyn and Henry.
