He was born at School Hill on November 15, 1926, son of Joseph and Cecelia Schad Scharenbroch. He graduated from Kiel High School in 1944. On October 27, 1951, he married Imelda Broeckert at St. Gregory Catholic Church at St. Nazianz. The couple moved to Sheboygan.
Mr. Scharenbroch was employed at Plastics Engineering Co. for 17 years until retirement in 1983 because of illness. Before that, he worked as an electrician at the former Mayer Electric Co. from 1951 until 1966. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 494. A member of St. Dominic Catholic Church, he belonged to the Holy Name Society.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Tom of Sheboygan and Mark of Janesville; a daughter, Jane of Milwaukee; a grandson; three brothers, Larry of Cleveland, Paul of Manitowoc and Rev. Al Knier of Milwaukee; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Conway and Mrs. Erwin Vogds both of Milwaukee.
A brother preceded him in death.
