Mrs. Bussard was born May 26,1883, in Lancaster township, to Jesse I. and Susan L. Beal Buzzard. She married Jacob A. Bussard.
Surviving are the husband; a daughter, Mrs. Hazel Sunderman, Jefferson township; two sons, Herbert J. Bussard, Huntington route five and Arthur J. Bussard, Huntington route five; six grandchildren. Mrs. Jean Horn, Fort Wayne, Miss Melba Bussard and Miss Wilma Bussard, Huntington route five, Richard E. Bussard, U.S. Navy, and Jack and Mark Sunderman, Jefferson township; the mother, Susan L. Buzzard, city; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Lehman, city, and a brother, Earl Buzzard, city. A brother, Homer Buzzard, preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Pythian sisters and prominent in Democratic politics. She served as vice-committeewoman in her precinct for many years and was president of the Democrat Women's organization.
The body was removed to the Bailey funeral home where friends may call and where services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. R.B. Meckstroth, pastor of St. Peter's Evangelical and Reformed church, officiating.
Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR ELIZABETH BUSSARD
Funeral service for Mrs. A. Elizabeth Bussard were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Bailey chapel with the Rev. R.B. Meckstroth pastor of St. Peter's Evangelical and Reformed church, officiating.
Organ music was furnished by Miss Mary Bailey.
Flowerbearers were Melba Bussard, Wilma Bussard, Richard Bussard, Jack Sunderman, Mark Sunderman, Mrs. Jean Horn, Earl Horn, Robert Hoover, Patty Hoover, Caterine Close, George Close, Mrs. Robert Buzzard, Joan Buzzard, Louise Buzzard, Willadean Sanger and Wilma Sanger.
Pallbearers were Paul Weber, Roy Howell, Howard Hockensmith, Paul Whitelock, Frank Little, Claude Amos, Charles Sprinkle and Delano Trovinger.
