WILLIAM I. KENDALL, 83 years of age died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ella Smith, of Smithsburg, Thursday morning at 10:30.
He was a veteran of the Civil War.
The following survive him: sons, Samuel, Waynesboro; Mahlon, Indiana; George, Daniel and Jeffe, Cavetown; Henry, Baltimore and daughters, Mrs. William Witmer, Greencastle; Mrs. Edlie Burkett, Mason and Dixon; Mrs. Anna Kendall, Hagerstown and Mrs. Smith, Smithsburg. Forty grandchildren also survive.
Funeral announcements will be made later.
