Alma Faye Kirby Irvin, 76, of Spring Run, PA went into the loving arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ at 12:30 PM on Friday February 18, 2011 after a brief illness. She was a blessing sent to the late Emory and Allie Broyles Kirby on October 29, 1934 in Sarton, WV, which is situated in Monroe County.
Alma spent her life as a homemaker and cared for her parents faithfully until the time of their deaths. She was a devoted member of Mt. Herman Baptist Church in Sarton, WV and Spring Run Bible Church.
Alma's loving and devoted survivors include her husband of 35 years John S. Irvin, who affectionately called her "Princess"; sisters, Dreama Kirby of Martinsburg, WV, and Lottie Hall, wife of Bob, of Union, WV; a nephew, Kirby Hall and wife Susie of Caldwell, WV; a niece, Cindy Weikle, wife of Bobby of Union, WV. She is also survived by numerous cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Mt. Herman Baptist Church, Sarton, WV. Pastors Bob Ratliff and Allen Hilton will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, February 21, 2011 at Agett-Geisel Funeral Home, 18875 Main St., Dry Run, PA 17220 and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Interment will follow in Mt. Herman Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Spring Run Bible Church, PO Box 160 Spring Run, PA 17262.
