A member of Boonford Baptist Church in Yancey County, he retired from Drexel-Heritage
Furnishings.
Survivors include his wife, Addie Mae McFarland Greene; a son, Jackie Lee Green of Mor-
ganton; a daughter, Janice Greene Stone of Morganton; two brothers, Bobby Greene and
Charles Greene of Ellenboro; three sisters, Faye Hughes of Burnsville, Mae Willis of Spruce
Pine and MIldred Boons of Bakersville; and five grandchildren.
The funeral service will be conducted by the Revs. Billy Mitchel and Dean Lavender at 11 a.m.
Thursday at Sossoman Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Gus Young Cemetery in Burns-
ville at 2 p.m. Thursday.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 tonight and at the residence, 213 Grand-
view Avenue, all other times.
