Kenneth V. Denby, Sr., age 88, of Valparaiso passed away Sunday, February 20, 2011 at the VNA Horton Hospice Center.
He was born on December 28, 1922 in Wanatah to George and Lillian (Kalwitz) Denby.
Ken was a WWII Veteran of the U.S. Army, worked in construction through the Local Laborers Union #81, and was a member of the Griffith Pilgrim Holiness Church.
On June 19, 1948 in Valparaiso, Ken married Nancy Spencer who survives along with their children, Diane (Terry) Anderson of Highland, Kenneth (Barbara) Denby, Jr. of Valparaiso, and Steven Denby of Valparaiso; 4 grandchildren, Shawn and Todd Anderson, Kathie (Ruben) DelValle, and Jessica Denby; and a sister, Dorothy Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 sisters, LaDonna Loetz, Lois Denby, and Edna Fryar.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2011, at 11:00 AM at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd, Valparaiso. Burial will follow at Angelcrest Cemetery, Valparaiso.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to the VNA Hospice, 2401 Valley Dr, Valparaiso 46383.
