Joan P. Vanderaa (nee Moorberg), age 75, of South Holland, IL, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2005.
Mrs. Vanderaa is survived by her husband, Mitchell Vanderaa; two sons: Scott (Amanda) Vanderaa of Woodridge, IL and Craig (Janice) Vanderaa of Acton, MA; four grandchildren: Chaia, Elaina, Ben and Owen; one sister, Doris (late Frank) Priest of Kansas City, KS.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Leah Michelle VanderaAa and a sister, the late Jeanette (late Bruce) Boender. Aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Joan was a dear and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be remembered fondly and missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 14, 2005 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with services conducted by Rev. Hank Elgersma at the Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home, 649 E. 162nd St. (Rt. 6/159th St.), South Holland, IL. Interment Oak Ridge Cemetery, Lansing, IL. Memorials may be given to Alzheimer's Research or Rest Haven South Convalescent Home.
