Gwen K. Blazo, 50, of Lapeer died Thursday ( Oct. 21, 1999 ) at her home after a courageous battle with Cancer. She was born June 17, 1949 in Mount Clemens to Arthur Howard and Marjorie Jean ( Harrison ) Howard Muir, She graduated from Dryden High School in 1967. She taught at Millington Middle School after graduating from Central Michigan University in 1971. She was married to Michael Blazo on March 25, 1972 at Immaculate Chuch in Lapeer. She was a member of the Child Study Club, enjoyed golfing, playing bridge, and her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Michael; three sons, Brandon of Lansing, Brock, Of Troy and Brett at home; mother, Marjorie Jean Muir of Lapeer; brothers Gregg ( Vicki ) Howard of Lapeer and Gary Howard of Muskegon; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Howard; stepfather, Norman Muir, daughter, Michelle. A funeral mass was celebrated Monday ( Oct. 25, 1999 ) at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lapeer, The Rev. Douglas Terrien officiated.
