George Allen, one of the aged and substantial citizens of Buck, died on Sunday morning at eight o'clock after an illness of several months. He had been in feeble health for the past three or four years and for the past few days his condition had been critical.
Mr Allen was about 85 years of age and leaves many relatives. His sons are Charles and John of Buck, with whom he had been making his home, Samuel of Hinton and George of the state of Washington. He also leaves three daughters, Mrs A A Foster, and Mrs T J Townsley, of Hinton, and Mrs Ellen Carden of Fayette county.
The remains were laid to rest today in the Huffman cemetery.
