Mary T. Privratsky-Feininger, pioneer Stark County resident and daughter of John Privratsky and Josephine Zastoupil Privratsky, was born March 15, 1898 on the family farm southwest of Dickinson, ND. She grew up on the farm and attended rural schools. She married Edward Feininger Sr. October 28, 1918 at St. Wenceslaus church in Dickinson, ND. She lived her entire life in Dickinson, ND, raised some of her grandchildren, fed many a lost soul during the depression and always lended a helping hand feeding needy family and friends. A seamstress for the WPA during WWII , she continued to enjoy quilting, crocheting and embroidery. She was preceeded in death by her husband, her sons Alphonse and Edward Feininger Jr. She passed away at Dickinson Nursing Center of Cachexia, uremia and chronic pyllonephritis.
