The graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, at Alford Cemetery in Harrisburg for Mathew Clair Farley of Eugene, who died Feb. 20 of heart failure. He was 75.

He was born March 2, 1935, in Crawfordsville to Milton and Vivian Robinett Farley. He married Janis Bevier on Aug. 23, 1996, in Eugene.

He had a sixth-grade education and worked as a pond man, log splitter, millwright and equipment operator for Goshian Veneer, Blue River Veneer and Hauser, starting at age 10 until retirement. He served in the Army in Korea from 1955 to 1958.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Pamela Power of Long Beach, Calif., and Peggy Gallegos of Spokane; two sons, Harley of Eugene and Kelly of Reno, Nev.; four stepdaughters, Kathy Aho, Cindy Buss, Teresa Flesher and Pauline Friedrich; two stepsons, Ray Sell and Willie Sell; and many grand­children and great-grandchildren. A son, Hank Farley, died in 2001.
