Geneva Eloise Abner, 66, passed away February 21, 2011 at her home. She was born January 11, 1945 in Georgetown, Kentucky to the late Harvey and Viola Barron Clifton.


She was a former assistant manager at Bon Worth, a former produce clerk at Foodtown. and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star.


She is survived by her children, Jamie (Madlyen) Cook of Georgetown, Paul (Marie) Abner Jr. of Richmond, and Sandra (Brian) Thacker of Georgetown; 12 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; brothers, Freddie Clifton and James Clifton both of Georgetown; sister, Annie Matthews of La Grange, Georgia, and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters and brother, Eulalia Townsend, Margie Shepherd, Evelyn Beaucham and Charles Clifton.


Funeral services will 1 pm Thursday February 24, 2011 at Tucker, Yocum, & Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Sageser officiating. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery with pallbearers being James Paul Clifton Jr., Joseph Dunn, Lance Dunn, Bob South, Eddie Hensley, and Dave Willis. Visitation will be 11 am until time of service Thursday.
